Magical Creatures Grooming Policy and Waiver

Appointments

Appointments are reserved as private, one-on-one time for your pet, so please arrive on time (no more than 5 minutes early) and be available for prompt pick-up at the agreed completion time; arrivals more than 10 minutes late may incur a $15 late fee or require rescheduling, and late pick-ups that interfere with scheduled appointments are subject to a $1 per minute fee after the agreed pick-up time. I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules; for late cancellations or no-shows, the first offense is subject to a charge of 50% of the scheduled grooming service, the second offense is subject to a charge of 100% of the scheduled grooming service, and the third offense is subject to a charge of 100% of the scheduled grooming service and prepayment required for future appointments.

Pricing

Pricing includes standard coat maintenance; heavily matted coats, impacted undercoat, or additional handling time may incur extra fees, and in cases of severe matting, shaving may be necessary for your pet’s comfort, with any pre-existing skin conditions possibly becoming visible after grooming.

Cage-free

You acknowledge that this is a cage-free salon environment and that your pet may be co-mingled with other pets when appropriate; every effort is made to ensure safety and positive interactions, but co-mingling carries inherent risks, and pets showing signs of stress or aggression may be separated or have services stopped for their well-being.

Health and Vaccinations

You confirm that your pet is up to date on core vaccinations and free of contagious conditions at the time of service, and you agree to disclose all known medical, behavioral, and health concerns (including senior care needs, injuries, allergies, anxiety, or prior grooming reactions) prior to the appointment. All pets are groomed with patience and care; however, if a pet becomes overly stressed, aggressive, or unsafe to groom, services may be stopped for their well-being, and payment is still due for time spent.

Veterinary Care

You agree that grooming involves inherent risks (including minor nicks, irritation, or stress reactions) and release the groomer from liability for pre-existing or age-related conditions not caused by gross negligence, authorize emergency veterinary care at your expense if you cannot be reached, and confirm that all information provided is accurate; payment is due at the time of service, and photos may be used for portfolio or marketing unless you opt out.
